One thing that almost every household has tried this quarantine is cake.
Biscuit cake was the one recipe that was trending on youtube as people were really interested in making cake at home by themselves.
While writing this blog one incident is coming to my mind. Few days before I visited a pharmaceutical store to buy an eno packet and guess what the shopkeeper asked me. Madam! You want this eno packet for acidity or for making cake?
Haha…that was really hilarious.
So from this line we can guess how eno was used for making cake apart from it’s work of solving acidity problems. So, I thought of sharing my biscuit cake recipe with you all.
Here in my recipe we will see how to cook cake in a cooker, as it’s not necessary that everyone has an oven at their home.
My biscuit cake recipe is so easy and can be made with very limited ingredients and its taste is also delicious. Trust me, after having one slice you cannot stop yourself from taking one more slice.
I will be sharing the complete video recipe of Happy Happy biscuit cake and along with this I am also sharing a list of ingredients and step by step instructions that will help you to understand the recipe more easily.
Apart from this i have also shared some important tips that you can consider before making the recipe.
Let’s have a look on the ingredients we will be using
As I said earlier biscuit cake required very limited ingredients, so you don’t need to worry for the availability of ingredients.
Happy Happy Biscuits
I have used Happy Happy biscuit in my recipe. You guys can use any other flavour or any other brand biscuit of your choice. However chocolate biscuit or chocolate cookie will result in the best taste.
Chocolate cake brings the beautiful flavour and look of the cake. I have used halsey chocolate syrup after the cake cooks but, you can add this syrup in the batter also if you want your cake to be more chocolaty.
I have also used milk while making the batter for the cake. Also, i have gone for a Bati cooker but you guys can use another cooker like Idli cooker or pressure cooker, just make sure the cake cooks for at least 30 minutes on low flame with no space for air to enter.
- 5 Packet Happy Happy Biscuit
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Bowl Milk
- Cadbury Shots
- Dairy Milk
- 1 packet ENO
- Chocolate Syrup
- Grind 5 packets of happy happy biscuits in a mixture with 3 spoons of sugar.
- Add milk to the biscuit powder ,as per the requirement (make thin batter like idli batter).
- Now, take a dhokla plate
- Apply some ghee on it and sprinkle some sukha maida inside the plate.
- Keep your bati cooker on gas on low flame.
- Add an eno packet to the biscuit batter we made and mix it well.
- Then, immediately pour the batter on the dhokla plate.
- cover the bati cooker and let it cook for 30 mins.
- After 30 mins remove it and let it cool for 5-6 mins
- Spread some halsey chocolate syrup all over your cake and garnish it with cadbury shots,gems and dairy milk as shown in video.
Some important tips
Making this recipe will hardly take 40 minutes. So, do try this homemade biscuit cake recipe and celebrate birthdays of your loved ones in a healthy way.
